They emailed me a message with nothing but a subject. and i replied:

tilly: I am using interactions with individuals and with the city to find out more about what this place is that I live in. This blog is the place to reflect and archive the actions I use to investigate Chicago. I'll be looking at my immediate neighborhood, my street, my block, my friends as well as strangers and who knows what else. I want to know why people live here and what they want out of it. I want to know a lot more too, but that's what I'm starting with.
